RMD carries out a fully measured survey of the existing building, including any investigation works relating to its structure, foundations, utilities and services.

This information is then recorded as a CAD survey drawing which we use to analyse the flow and ergonomics of the space, highlighting current load-bearing structures. We then start redesigning the existing layout, exploring how best to utilise the space to meet the client’s brief.

We present our ideas to the client in two phases.

Phase 1

We present a variety of layout and 3D sketch options in order to explore different ideas and stimulate discussions with our client.

Phase 2

We assimilate the client’s comments from our initial meeting in Phase 1 and use them to narrow down the options. Thereafter we create a layout to present as a measured 2D CAD plan for further discussion, along with perspective sketches to illustrate the proposed scheme.
